2013 FIA Pro Mod Champions again, 3 times in a row!
Santa Pod, England, Sep 6, 2013

Like in the last few years, we arrived at Santa Pod with the points lead. We only needed two points to definitely secure the championship, meaning that we only had to go down the track once, we did not even have to get qualified. So we decided to test some parts that we did not have any opportunity to test before in the season. This meant that we traded our consistency against some development for the future.

After aborted runs in the first three sessions, we qualified in the last session with a 6.09/241 mph. After that we changed back half of the motor back to our old parts to be able to compare data between old and new. On sunday the car took off very well in round two, but lost traction at the 1-2 shift and was never able to catch Robert Joosten in the other lane. A great season had come to an end!

Defending the FIA Championship Pro Mod title!
Santa Pod, England, Sep 10, 2012

Just like in the two last years, we arrived at Santa Pod in the points lead. This time, in the worst case, we needed to get to the semi finals to win the championship. In qualifying we had major problems getting down the track, and with no completed runs without pedalling the car, we ended up in 13:th spot. After analyzing things after qualifying, we made a few major changes.

First elimination run was nerve wrecking, but a 6.03 win against Freddy Fagerström confirmed that we made the right decisions on the tune-up. We then continued with wins against Norbert Kuno from Germany, which secured the 2012 FIA Championship win, then Roger Moore from England and in the finals we won over David Veghter from Holland. The road to the event trophy was very bumpy, but all in all it was a great weekend!

Work around the clock, to the final and then rain...
Tierp Arena, Sweden, August 26, 2012

After qualifying with a 5.981 in the second qualifying round, we broke the rear end housing straight off in the third qualifying attempt. After a hard nights work we were able to replace the complete rear axle of the car. We were ready 4 am in the morning and went to sleep a couple of hours before sunday mornings eliminations started. With new major parts on the car and no chance to test it, we sure were nervous to see how the car was reacting to the new rear end. Our worries were put aside when the car went straight down the track with a 6.02 to win over Mats Eriksson. We then ran through eliminations in a 5-second pace and was up against Martin Lundkvist in the final when heavy rain stopped the race. We were very tired, but very satisfied with the result from all the hard work!

Resetting the European record on route to win at the Sweden Internationals
Tierp Arena, Sweden, June 17, 2012

With a 5.949 @ 393.87 km/h we reset the European ET record in the first qualifying run, backed up by a 6.001 in the first elimination run on sunday. Eliminations followed by a 5.98 win over Johan Lindberg in the semi final and then a 6.01 final win over Niclas Andersson.

2011 FIA Pro Mod Champions!
Santa Pod, England, Sep 11, 2011

We arrived at Santa Pod in the points lead, and in the worst case scenario we needed to survive the second round of eliminations to secure the 2011 championship. As it turned out, we secured the championship after the first round win, as we got the low ET of the event and number one qualifier points. We had a great year, winning the Swedish Championship, NDRS Championship and the FIA Championship.

On top of qualifying, to the final and then curfew
HockenheimRing, Germany, Aug 14, 2011

For the second year in a row we got to the final when the curfew set in after a rain shower that delayed eliminations some. We qualified on top with a 6.00 and then beat Maurichat, Brander and Robinson before we were supposed to get up against Bruno Bader in the final. We left Germany with the points lead somewhat extended to Bader, who is currently in second place.

In the winners circle, Swedish Champions for the 5:th time!
Tierp Arena, Sweden, Aug 1, 2011

After another great weekend, we finally got it right in the last round. We went to Tierp for the second time this year as the reigning Swedish 2010 Champions. This time we ran quick in all rounds of the event, except the last qualifying round that we skipped, were the hard charging Lindberg Bros ran a fine 5.922 to reset the official Swedish record and get on the top spot of qualifying. We were racing Lindberg's in the final round and whoever won would also win the Swedish Championship series. Michael left the start line first and never looked back with a 5.926/391.87 to Lindberg's losing 5.942/392.44. A little history written here as this was the first ever side-by-side 5-second run in Europe.

FIA Nitro Nat's, Finland; back in the championship points lead
Alastaro, Finland, July 3, 2011

Setting low ET in a final round losing effort

It was a good racing weekend in Finland, despite some showers and that the lightning struk the timing system. We only got two qualifying runs and ended up in 2nd place after Mats Eriksson. After setting low ET in every round we finally lost to Mats Eriksson in the final with a 5.98 to Mats 6.10, due to totally losing focus on the starting line and cutting a horrible light. We left the event leading the championship with points for runner and low ET.

Runner up at FIA Sweden Internat's
Tierp Arena, Sweden, June 12, 2011

A great event at the brand new, purpose built drag racing facility Tierp Arena. The all concrete track was well prepared and after the last qualifying run the bump spot was down to 6.24. We ended up on 2nd spot after qualifying with a 6.015 after Adam Flamholc's 6.010. On sunday morning we stepped it up a bit and ran a 5.988 in the first round against Freddy Fagerström, then a 6.01 to be followed up with a 5.979 in the semi final win against Micke Lindahl. The last hour before the final against Bruno Bader from Switzerland, the weather changed a lot providing more power and the result was that we spun the tires right off the start line. It was a great weekend with very good weather and a great atmosphere, even if we lost the final. We'll get'em next time!

No 1 qualifier at the FIA Main Event
Santa Pod Raceway, England, May 30, 2011

After two good days of qualifying, we were on top of the list with a 6.08. The track was well prepared as usual, but some bumps was making the ET's a bit off pace. On raceday we were lined up and ready to go when it started to rain. It never stopped and the race was canceled. It was a good weekend after all and we went home with a small points lead.
